3 Tips to Get Back to Racing

Raise your hand if you have been obsessing over the Olympic Track Trials this week. We have! These races are the perfect motivation and inspiration to help all of us get back to those start lines. And thankfully races are back!


As it has been a beat since many of us have laced up to race, we thought we would provide you with three quick tips to get you back to racing and name drop a few races we are super excited for. 

Don’t wear new shoes to a race. There are so many fun new shoes on the market and we know you want to show off those new leopard print ones from Brooks Running because we both ordered a pair but remember race day is not the day to break in any new item of clothing. Race day is the day to wear your favorite pieces of gear because you know how it fits, feels and motivates you.

Bring water and snacks. Water stations may still be limited so it is always a good idea to bring your own. Plus summer is off to a very warm start so make sure you have extra electrolytes and fuel to keep you going. We want to make sure you are breaking down those walls, not hitting them. Our favorites are Picky Bars, Salt Sticks and good old fashioned H2O.

Have fun! We all want to get back to chasing those PRs but do not forget to have some fun. This may seem hard but try taking it easy. Trust your training and push it hard where you can. Now go out there and crush it!
