As runners, we love a good challenge. Thinking about this summer and the pivots we’re making as a community, we wanted to find a way to bring everyone together—even when we can’t always sweat together.

This challenge isn’t about logging the most miles or running the fastest. It’s about finding joy in your running, even when it’s hotter than a frying pan outside. It’s about reminding yourself that movement can be fun, nourishing, and exactly what you need to reconnect with yourself, your goals, and your community.

Why We’re Doing This

Right now, I’ll be honest: I’m in a love–hate relationship with running. Summer running is hard. It’s humid, it’s sweaty, it’s uncomfortable at times. But summer also offers us a chance to slow down, to run at sunrise, to try a new brunch spot with a friend, to notice the wildflowers, to run for fun instead of chasing a pace.

We want this challenge to help you fall in love with running again and remember why you started in the first place.

How to Participate

We turned this challenge into a checklist—because there’s something so satisfying about checking things off a list, especially during a busy summer.

Don’t worry, this list isn’t huge or complicated. Yes, we encourage you to try to complete each item, but ultimately, we want you to have fun, move your body, and find joy in your running this season.
